The Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC) and the Consulting Center of the Association of Milk Producers continue to accept applications from dairy cattle farms to participate in a project to support small and medium-sized DCFs, implemented in partnership with the international humanitarian organization Mercy Corps.

Within the framework of the project, farms can undergo a comprehensive audit for free, the cost of which is fully covered by the donor. The audit provides for experts of the Consulting Center of the Association of Milk Producers to visit the enterprise and assess the farm's operation in key areas — veterinary care, production technology, and feeding — and they will also analyze the main production and business processes.

Based on the results of the audit, the farm will receive a final report with identified problem areas and practical recommendations for eliminating them, after which it will be able to decide on further participation in the project and, if needed, receive expert support for implementing the recommendations.

The goal of the project is to strengthen the economic resilience of small and medium-sized DCFs through technological, advisory, and veterinary support. For farms that continue participation after the audit, the project provides for support in implementing the recommendations, a final assessment of results, staff training, and thematic webinars.

Farms from the target regions can join the project: the Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Odesa, Kyiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, and Kirovohrad regions.

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to provide support to 100 DCFs. Preference in the selection of participants will be given to affected enterprises. Assistance to such farms is a contribution to preserving the dairy sector in war-affected regions, supporting jobs in communities, and strengthening Ukraine's food security.

Who can undergo the free audit:

• farms that keep up to 750 dairy cows;
• priority will be given to DCFs from the regions most affected by the war;
• the cost of the comprehensive audit for the farm is fully covered by the donor.
