The Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC) has joined the European Policy Centre (EPC) — one of Brussels' most authoritative independent think tanks. This strengthens the UAC's capacity to represent the position of Ukrainian agricultural producers within the European expert community and to engage in discussions on decisions that will shape the terms of the Ukrainian agricultural sector's integration into the EU.

The European Policy Centre brings together representatives of European institutions, business, the expert community, and civil society organizations. The Centre studies the key challenges facing the European Union, creates platforms for professional dialogue, and develops recommendations for European policy.

"For the UAC, membership in the EPC means an additional valuable opportunity to directly represent the interests of Ukrainian agricultural producers at one of the most influential expert platforms in Brussels and to take part in shaping discussions on the future policy of the European Union. It also opens up new opportunities for cooperation and for expanding our partnership network in Europe," noted the Chairman of the UAC, Andrii Dykun.

The focus of the UAC's work within the EPC will be issues of adapting the Ukrainian agricultural sector to EU rules, the costs of implementing European standards, trade policy, and preserving the competitiveness of Ukrainian agricultural producers.

The Ukrainian Agri Council will contribute to joint research and to the development of proposals on the terms for integrating Ukrainian agriculture into the EU. Particular attention will be paid to Ukraine's role in ensuring the food security of Europe and the countries of the Global South.
